Father: A Man Of Words

Bismillahirrahmanirraheem.

What a rain. Terengganu is been cold for days. Not icy-cold though. It's just 25-28°C. Wet but refreshing indeed. This is one of the hidden ni'mah that we should be grateful for.

Back to the title, yes, it is all about a man of words - a father.

When I was a kid, I took an image of myself as an average kid that is not-so-rebellious, but extremely independent and love to do everything on my whim. In other word, I dislike the fact that my parents, father especially, get the full control on my life and my future without realizing that I am just a 3 or 4-years-old brat.

Since then, father already appointed to each of his kids, what they have to be in their future. For example, Abang to be a magistrate, me to be an accountant, Fakrul to be like this, Bibi to be a doctor and Adik to be like that.

Regardless, we are all now deviate so much from the his expectations. We strive on our own path of excellence.

The Eyesight

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.


A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.


Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

[Video] 10 Rare Mental Disorders

Assalamualaykum. Few days back, I stumbled upon this video on Youtube. Pretty interesting. There's one mental disorder (MD) featured inside called - Alice-in-Wonderland Syndrome. For those who ever watched a Korean series entitled 'Secret Garden', you must be surprised that the lead role, Kim Joo Won (played by Hyun Bin) suffered from this MD.

Frankly speaking, I never had an idea that this MD really existed. Enjoy this video, folks.

Kenapa Malas Berfikir?

Saya yakin ramai di antara kita mempunyai paling kurang satu akaun di laman web sosial. Sekurang-kurang Facebook ataupun Twitter. Pada awal kemunculan laman-laman web sosial, saya juga tak mampu menangkis tempiasnya. Sampai 2-3 akaun. Satu di Friendster, satu di Hi-5, satu di Tagged. Tetapi sejak kemunculan FB, saya jarang bertumpu kepada yang tiga itu. Perhatian lebih banyak pada FB.

Fikir saya, social network sebelum ini yang tidak mencapai tahap 'evolusi' terlampau seperti FB, agak santai dan tidak menyebabkan kemaruk untuk tercongok di hadapan komputer sehingga berjam-jam lamanya.

Berhantukah?

Agak-agak saya begitulah. Bukan setakat berhantu, malah boleh menyebabkan suami isteri bercerai-berai, sahabat-handai putus silaturrahim, malah sebuah kerajaan yang telah berdiri beratus tahun lamanya boleh hancur!

Memang tidak dinafikan, saya agak teruja pada mulanya. Kerana 'hantu' inilah saya dapat berhubung kembali dengan rakan-rakan sekolah rendah dahulu. Dan kerana 'hantu' inilah saya dapat tahu, ramai yang sudah 'berdua' dan ada juga sudah 'bertiga' dan ber ber yang seterusnya. 'Hantu' yang hebat, tetapi tetap menakutkan.
